Help Wanted!

Addie has the worst gas problems. I have changed my diet, which seems to help a little bit, but her pain and discomfort is still really bad. Moms out there, what have you done to help your children? I feel like we've tried every trick in the book and nothing seems to help. Suggestions would be appreciated! HELP!

Hey. I don't remember if I told you this already, but what I would do was turn Sam so his head was on my left arm and his belly was facing me. Then I would gently bounce and or rock him. He liked it. Hopefully it will work for Addie.

here some advice, but you may have already tried it. Mylicon drops work great. They also have these gas relief tablets at health food stores that work really well. The other thing is giving her tummy time. Sometimes I would even let Tanner and Natalya take naps on their tummies, but I would be sitting right there watching. As soon as they could roll over on their, I would put them to sleep on their tummy, and they both slept really well that way. Laying them on their back and pumping their legs like a bicycle also helps get gas out. Good luck!!

Thanks, Britt. We use the gas drops all the time, but they seem to be only a temporary solution. We think she calms down because they're sweet, but it wears off in a couple minutes and she's back to screaming again. We mostly use them to give us time to breathe.

The leg pumping works great, as well. It seems to be the only thing that works, actually. I do have to be more diligent about tummy time, I'll give that a go. Thanks!

I can't even remember my blog sign in. . . I don't really have any suggestions other than what the other mommies have said. However, I do want to say I think it is so wonderful, and strange, that we are all exchanging advice about our kids. We're so grown up! Addie is adorable, Jana.

Hey this is Nicole I don't have a google account, but my pediatrician recommended gripe water. Ashley says she uses it as well. She even gave us some to try.

Hey Jana this is Julie, Katie (Pike) Trembath had issues with her oldest having gas problems and they came to find out he had issues with peanut butter (though he can eat it now) she would eat peanut butter sandwiches for lunch every day and it was in her milk so when she would feed him the gas was the result as soon as she stopped eating the peanut butter until after she wasn't breast feeding any more the perblems seemed to go away, but I've also heard that if you eat a lot of dairy products that the same can occur.
